SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Boutique social media agency BK&Co. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented full-time Social Media Coordinator to provide support in delivering social media content to our clients. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and organization skills, is curious and eager to learn, and has 1-2 years of experience in a similar role at either an agency or on the brand side. 

BK&Co. is a Minneapolis-based social media agency working directly with brands to tell their stories through the power of social media. From strategy to execution we are a trusted resource to our clients ensuring that their social media channels are “always-on” building brand and awareness for their organizations. We specialize in retail, higher education, and non-profit organizations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the team in the day-to-day execution of client deliverables

  • Support client projects through planning, strategic, creative, and development phases

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings, capturing notes and assigning follow-ups

  • Work closely with the Account Director to ensure all projects remain on target and within the scope

  • Assist in organizing digital campaigns and strategies on behalf of the agency’s clients

  • Undertake administrative tasks to ensure functionality and coordination of daily activities

  • Help identify social media trends and opportunities for our clients

  • Prepare, format, and edit a range of documents

  • Graphic asset creation in Canva

  • Execution of social media campaigns

  • Track and manage all client feedback 

  • Support the content team in the creation of 200+ social media posts monthly

MUST-HAVES

  • Understanding of Google Workplace

  • Understanding of the core social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest

  • Clear communicator 

  • Go get ‘em attitude - you’re not afraid to dive into a project and figure it out

  • Curiosity (it didn’t kill the cat). Social is always changing and to stay at the forefront you’ll need to be overly curious about all things social

  • Project management experience

  • Desire to learn and grow in the social media industry

  • Comfortable with Zoom and other video conferencing tools

  • Confidence around generating new ideas and sharing them

  • High level of professionalism.

  • Keen attention to detail with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Self-motivated, driven, organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and excel in a fast-paced environment

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field

PREFERRED

  • An understanding of social media scheduling and monitoring tools

  • 1 - 2 years of agency experience (internships considered)

  • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with an agile, fast-paced team

  • Experience working with clients directly

  • Experience working with higher education professionals

BENEFITS + COMPENSATION

  • $35 - 40k per year depending on experience
